About Comparative Public Management & Governance in the Artificial Intelligence Era
In the Artificial Intelligence Era
The Comparative Public Management & Governance in the Artificial Intelligence Era conference brings together scholars, policymakers, public administrators, researchers, practitioners, industry leaders, and students from around the world to examine how artificial intelligence is transforming public management and governance across different institutional and national contexts.
As governments increasingly adopt AI and emerging digital technologies, public institutions are facing new opportunities as well as complex challenges related to policymaking, public service delivery, institutional capacity, accountability, ethics, regulation, and organizational transformation. The conference provides a platform to explore these developments through comparative and interdisciplinary perspectives, connecting academic research with policy experiences and practical approaches.
Through keynote speeches, plenary and panel discussions, academic presentations, policy dialogues, and networking sessions, participants will exchange ideas, research findings, and practical experiences on the evolving relationship between technology, public administration, and governance. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding how different countries and institutions are responding to the opportunities and risks presented by AI, and what these experiences can teach us about the future of public governance.
The conference creates an integrated international forum that connects comparative public management and governance scholarship with broader discussions on digital transformation, technological innovation, and public-sector practice.
The 2026 edition will take place in Bali, Indonesia, on December 3–4, 2026, bringing together an international community to explore how public institutions can become more adaptive, innovative, responsible, and effective in an increasingly AI-driven world.
